direct provision centres grant programme
This is a grant programme for children of asylum seekers living in Direct Provision Centres
Rolling grant programme for organisations already in receipt of grants with a deadline of 25th each month. Please fill out the application form here. If your previous grant is spent please submit a grant report.
Direct Provision Centres: The Trust recognises the severe disadvantages and poverty of opportunity experienced by families in Direct Provision Centres in the Republic of Ireland. We are seeking applications from organisations local to the Centres that will support asylum seeker children to participate in community and sporting activities that will improve their quality of life, assist integration and build bridges with the community in which they are living.
The Grant Programme aims to give an opportunity to parents/carers of children in accommodation centres to decide what activities will benefit their children and to apply for funding for them. It is envisaged these activities will avail of sporting, community and arts facilities in the areas in which they live. Funders of the Direct Provision Centres Grant Programme include the four Provinces of the Sisters of Mercy in Ireland as well as the Discalced Carmelites and a fund provided by the Daughters of the Cross of Liege.
